Board of Directors
Snowy Range Academy is led by a nine-member volunteer board composed of parents, community members and staff. SRA’s fourth charter, which outlines the governance structure, was renewed in May of 2022.
Monthly board meetings
The board meets at 6 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month at SRA. A livestream of each meeting is available on Zoom through BoardDocs. Agendas and related documents are also on BoardDocs.
Minutes are available on BoardDocs back to April 2023. Minutes and related documents prior to that are available upon request.

Eve newman
Chairman / Parent Member
Eve Newman has served on the Snowy Range Academy Board of Directors since 2022. She has various degrees in journalism, English and creative writing and currently runs a couple small businesses. She and her husband, Thomas, have two daughters who attend SRA. She enjoys running, growing strawberries and jumping in lakes.
CHRISTIE ROBERTS
Vice Chair / Parent Member
Christie Roberts has served on the SRA Board of Directors since 2023, but was first introduced to SRA professionally in 2015. As a local engineer, Christie provided design services for a renovation project within SRA, introducing her and her husband Mark to the learning philosophy and educational environment of the school. When their oldest daughter was ready for kindergarten in 2016, they were grateful to draw a seat for her at SRA. Christie's familiarity with the school has continued to grow through a couple more renovation projects, a second daughter also attending SRA, and now as a board member. Christie enjoys being outdoors, especially riding her bicycle, no matter the weather, gardening, and skiing.
Christy Hornor
Treasurer / Parent Member
Christy Hornor became part of the SRA community in 2016 when her oldest son entered Kindergarten. She was later elected as a board member, starting in 2023. Christy and her husband have 4 children, all of whom have attended SRA. Her interests include homemaking, spending time with friends and family, crafts and music, directing the Laramie Awana club, participating in various church activities, and being an active part of supporting Snowy Range Academy.
David Kling
Secretary / Community Member
David Kling has served on the Snowy Range Academy Board of Directors since 2019. David grew up in and received his K-12 education in the Laramie community. He remained in Laramie and continued his education by attending the University of Wyoming and earning his B.S. Economics and B.S. in Finance. He currently works as a professional in financial planning and trust & estate services. David enjoys exploring the great outdoors that Wyoming has to offer, traveling with his family, and supporting his two children at soccer and volleyball events.
Dr. Clayton Schultz
Parent Member
Dr. Clayton Schultz has served on the SRA Board of Directors since 2017. He also serves as the Director of The WEST Institute, where he is responsible for all aspects of site development, student discipleship, academic program implementation, and teaching courses in Practical Theology. Clayton has served as Director since the founding of The WEST Institute in 2010. Clayton also serves as the Director of Operations and Cooperative Disciplines for Shepherds Theological Seminary Department of Biblical Archaeology. He helps with logistics concerning personnel and excavations, including coordinating the department’s interdisciplinary partners. Clayton is an ordained Pastor and elder at Laramie Valley Chapel. He is passionate about teaching the Bible and helping individuals understand and apply God’s Word to their lives. Clayton and his wife, Molly, have two sons and two daughters.
SUZANNE SPIKER-MILLER
Emeritus
Suzanne Spiker-Miller has served as Emeritus member since June 2024. She previously served on the SRA board from 2011 to 2015 when her children were students at SRA. She has a B.S. in Business and Marketing from the University of Wyoming and a M.Ed. in Counseling from Colorado State University. Suzanne provides business consulting through Daybreak Business Services and, along with her husband, Russ, owns Hyaltitude Contracting. She enjoys spending time with family, gardening, movies and cooking.
Jaime Stine

Jaime Stine has served on the SRA Board of Directors since 2024. Jaime was born and raised in Albany County an attended K-12 in Laramie before attending and graduating from the University of Wyoming with her B.S. degree. She then went on to receive her Masters in Organizational Management from Chadron State. Jaime has been the Executive Director of Developmental Preschool and Day Care Center since 2013, allowing her to bring a wealth of education and special education administration experience to her role on the SRA Board of Directors. Outside of work, Jaime volunteers in many different areas throughout the community. She has served on the Laramie Jubilee Days Board of Directors since 2019 and helped out with the Royalty Committee in different capacities since 1994. She is the current Beef Project leader for Albany County 4-H and previously served as a horse project leader. Jaime also served as an elected board member for the 9 Mile Water District for 14 years.
Debbie Fisher

Debbie Fisher has served on the Snowy Range Board of Directors since 2024. Debbie was born and raised in Laramie and received her K-12 education in the Laramie community. She attended the University of Wyoming earning her B.A. in Elementary Education with a minor in School Social Work. Debbie went on to earn her M.A. in Educational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. She has spent 35 years in the field of education as a teacher, academic coach, Assistant Principal, Principal, and Assistant Superintendent. Debbie retired from ACSD#1 in June 2023. Her interests include paddle boarding, horseback riding, reading, and camping.
CAROLINE HICKERSON
PRINCIPAL
Originally from Gillette, WY, Caroline Hickerson has been in education since 2007 and started with SRA in 2024. She received both her BS in biology and her MA in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wyoming. After several years of teaching science and working as an instructional facilitator, she went on to Fort Hays State University to receive her graduate certificate in Educational Leadership and has recently earned a graduate certificate from Purdue University in Human Resource Management. Caroline enjoys being outside hiking, snowshoeing, gardening, playing with her corgis or reading a good book with a cup of tea.
